CodeVibe ("Company", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at codevibe.com and our services (collectively, the "Service").

Information You Provide
- Account Information — Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Billing Information — Payment details (credit card number, billing address) processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- Profile Information — Optional information such as profile photo or display name.
- Communications — Messages you send to us via email or support channels.
- AI Tool Interactions — Prompts you submit and code generated by our AI tool. We store a brief preview of prompts for usage tracking.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Browser Data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
- Usage Data — Pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns, training progress, and referral source.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies — We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from Third Parties
- Authentication Providers — If you sign in with a third-party service (e.g., Google, GitHub), we receive your name, email, and profile image from that provider.
- Payment Processor — Stripe may provide us with transaction status, subscription state, and limited billing information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions and send related billing communications.
- Send transactional emails (welcome emails, trial reminders, subscription confirmations, password resets).
- Send marketing emails (drip campaigns, product updates, affiliate notifications). You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- Track training progress and AI tool usage for your dashboard.
- Operate the affiliate program, including tracking referrals, cookie attribution, and commission calculations.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Analyze aggregated, anonymized data to improve our products and services.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following third-party service providers, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- Stripe — Payment processing, subscription management, and affiliate payouts via Stripe Connect. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
- Supabase — Database hosting, user authentication, and data storage. Data is hosted on Supabase's secure infrastructure.
- Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery. We share your email address and name with Resend to send emails on our behalf.
- Mux — Video hosting and streaming for training content. Mux may collect playback analytics data.
- Vercel — Application hosting and serverless functions. Vercel processes requests and may log IP addresses.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we retain certain data for up to 90 days to facilitate recovery if requested, and aggregate analytics data indefinitely.
Billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years). Affiliate commission records are retained for the duration of the affiliate relationship plus 3 years.

General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and regular security reviews. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
Despite our efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. 9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws.
